Hernia repair

A hernia occurs when part of your body or an internal organ pokes through an opening into an
area where it should not be.

Common sites in the body are the belly button (umbilical hernia) or in the groin (inguinal hernia). They can also sometimes occur after weight loss surgery. For example a hiatus hernia can be seen after gastric sleeve surgery and an internal abdominal hernia can occur after gastric bypass surgery.
